On an overcast day plans can change and people’s good moods can wane, but the sun doesn’t stop shining. The sun’s rays are simply hidden behind the clouds. We can get trapped in our own finite view of reality so that we only see what we don’t have, who isn’t with us and where we come up short.
We are intrinsically valuable and made for an exciting life of overcoming adversity, helping others and impacting the planet. God shaped us and made us for our specific destiny and when we get our eyes on what matters nothing can stop us.
God created us and loves us. He sent Jesus to rescue, restore, redeem and reunite us to the Father God. Now as we receive Jesus and His finished work of the cross, we become the righteousness of God in Christ, and children upon whom the Father lavishes His love.
When we have Jesus we have everything. In Him we can know the peace of God that transcends understanding; in His presence is fullness of joy, and despite any circumstance we can know that He is with us, for us and on our side. Now we can get our eyes off of our problems, shortcomings and challenges and on to our beautiful Savior who loves us and who died for us. As we do we will find that our faith rises, we will gain momentum, and we will access the grace for today.
Proverbs 1:27 (NLT) “If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you!”
