In the race of life, we can be distracted. We can begin to focus on the other runners and try to compete. If we find a runner who is slower than we are, we begin to feel good about ourselves, but when we find a runner that is faster than we are, we begin to feel insecure.
However, this race is not a competition but a long distance journey and we are the only ones in our lane; so to run the race well we need to focus our eyes forward. God created us completely unique. No one has our DNA but us, and no one has our intricately designed fingerprints but us. We are a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
God created us in HIs image for a unique purpose and plan. He plucked us from eternity and placed us into our time and location. Even if we don’t feel like God’s masterpiece fulfilling His purpose, we can relax and know that God makes all things beautiful in its time.
God’s love is radical, relentless, unfailing and endless. He so loved us that He sent His precious son to earth for us. Jesus came to earth and embraced us, healed us, restored us and set us free. He laid down His life for ours, so we could have God’s unending life.
Now as we receive Jesus into our heart, we are reconnected to the source of life from the beginning. We can come to Jesus in prayer and discover more of who He is and who we are. The more we spend time focusing on Jesus the more we will transform from the inside out into who we are truly designed to be. We will find a grace and ease on the journey because our eyes are focused forward on the Altogether Lovely One.
