We can be excited about our future and how we think things might turn out, but circumstances can change and resources can dwindle. We can begin to worry about what tomorrow may bring. If we are not careful we will find ourselves worrying more about tomorrow then actually living in today.
God made us to be light and free. He fashioned us in His image for love, relationship and mission. He did not design us to wither or decay but to grow, develop, flourish and thrive. Even when we lost our connection to God His love radically pursued us. God implemented a rescue plan when He sent His precious son to earth to reconnect us to Him forever.
Now through Jesus’ sinless life, death on the cross and resurrection from the dead, we can exchange our identity as “separated from God” to His identity as “beloved child.” We can walk in everything won for us at the cross of Calvary: righteousness, holistic salvation, joy, peace, wholeness, acceptance, provision, protection, restoration and endless life.
As we walk with our Lord Jesus we will learn the unforced rhythms of grace. He won’t put anything ill-fitting on us for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. The more time we spend with Him, the more we will find that the peace of God rests in us and on our life. As we receive His gift of righteousness and the abundant supply of grace we will find our selves reigning in life.
