We can believe one thing and find out that something else is true. When our expectations are dashed we can find it hard to believe for good things again. The truth is, a setback isn’t permanent unless we hold on to it.
We are made to be resilient. God chose us to bear His image and He designed us to flourish in life. Even when we became disconnected from Him, He sent Jesus to earth to rescue and restore us back to Him. God never gives up on us or on the purpose He has made us for.
Jesus came to earth to save not condemn. He embraced the sinner, healed the sick, touched the leper and set the captives free. He showed us what real love is when He laid down His life for us at the cross. He paid for Sin with His life, so we could receive God’s endless life.
Now through the gift of righteousness and the abundant supply of grace, we can reign. Even when we face setbacks or discouraging situations, we can know that they are temporary. Our Heavenly Father is working out everything in our life: the good, the bad and the ugly for our advantage.
As we grow in our understanding of how much we are loved and cared for, we will find it easier to rise again and again. Our Father God will cause us to soar over obstacles and challenges and the more we trust Him, the more we will find ourselves stepping into all that He has designed us to be and do.
