We can feel pressure to be something that we are not at times. The pressure can even come from ourselves and It can be ever so subtle. It will always ring a bit hollow when we try to be something that we are not. However, when we relax into our own skin, into who we really are, we will find that we have nothing to prove.
We were made to be vulnerable and intimate in relationships. This is impossible when we don’t even know who we are – and who we are is amazing. God created us unique and special. He designed each of us with our own DNA and intricately designed fingerprints. We are a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
We are so valuable that God not only chose us to bear His image but He sent His most precious only son Jesus to earth to rescue us. Love incarnate came to save the world not condemn it. He even gave up His life for ours, so we could receive His identity as the “beloved child of God.”
Now through Jesus Christ’ finished work on the cross, we can receive everything the Father God has for us. We can know our true identity. We can discover our unique purpose for the planet. God will lead us to others and intertwine our destinies into a beautiful tapestry of His purpose. We will find that the more we fix our eyes on Jesus, the more we will effortlessly transform from the inside out into who we are designed to be and fulfill what we are designed to do.
