In life when we are opposed, we can feel hurt, betrayed and offended. We can even feel all alone, or ganged up on. The best way we can walk through situations of opposition is to remember that we are never alone.
When we accept Jesus into our heart, we become a child of God. The infinite, omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent King of the Universe becomes our Father. Now we have constant access to our Father God through prayer. We can boldly come to the throne room of grace in time of need and we can ask God for wisdom, provision and protection.
We can exchange our sin, failure, guilt and fear for Jesus’s righteousness, success, innocence and peace. In Jesus we stand before God perfectly righteous. We can trust that no matter the situation, God is working on our behalf. He is working all things out for our good in His timing.
Sometimes in a situation that has turned bad we’re not always completely innocent but in Jesus we are always completely innocent. So we can run to God instead of away from Him. He loves us unconditionally. He grants us unmerited favor. So as we receive wisdom and guidance from our Father God in prayer and from wise counsel from people God has put in our lives, we can walk through difficult situations knowing ultimately we will overcome them all through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Isaiah 54:17 –
No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.
In life we can find ourselves way behind where we thought we would be. We have an idea in our mind what our life should be like and we can think that we have fallen so short. When we focus on what we should have, we often neglect what we do have.
As we receive Jesus into our heart, we begin a dynamic exciting adventure with the creator of the universe. God becomes our Father and we can boldly come to His throne room of grace anytime. We can bring to Him anything we are dealing with: issues, disappointments, hurts, wounds and offenses and exchange them for healing, hope, health, success, and well-being.
God is so good, that He loved us first before we ever thought of Him. He sent Jesus to earth to live a sinless life for us, die on the cross as us, and be raised from the dead for our justification, so we could walk away with Jesus’s perfection, justification and new life. We now have everything in the world that can’t be bought. Life eternal, true fulfillment and overflowing unconditional love.
Now we can get off our time table and into God’s perfect timing. God is always with us, for us and on our side. He has great plans for our life that will work when we rest in Him. Wherever we are locationally and spiritually, God is able to work out everything for good according to His purpose and plans. So let’s take delight in our season, location, and relationships and know the best is yet to come.
Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
When we walk along the path of life, we can find ourselves at a crossroads. Sometimes it is hard to decide which way to turn. We can stay on the road that feels familiar and comfortable; but often the road that feels a bit awkward and uncomfortable at first is the road to bigger things.
As we come into relationship with God by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become children of God. We are not only made in the image of the infinite God of the Universe, we are His kids; and we have all of Heaven’s resources at our disposal. Nothing is impossible when we put our trust in Jesus.
We can dream the big dreams we did when we were children. We can trust our Father God with our dreams because we know that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above anything we hope, ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We can enlarge our vision so that others are involved and helped in the process, leaving a legacy behind us.
As we take the steps of faith along the road that leads to bigger things, we will begin to see everything we need fall into place; both the resources and the people will come along to accomplish the vision. As we rest in God’s purpose and plan, we will find ourselves caught in the unforced rhythms of grace, fulfilling effortlessly everything that God has put in our heart to do and be.
Ephesians 3:20 – Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us…
Sometimes we try to control what happens in life. We try our best to force our will on circumstances and people, but the truth is there are too many variables in life to control. The more wound up we get, the more we push people away and circumstances turn out badly.
When we come into relationship with our Father God, by accepting Jesus, we receive son and daughtership. We now can boldly come to the throne room of grace daily and receive help in time of need. We can go to our Heavenly Father with any problem, issue, or unhealthy circumstance and receive answers, healing and restoration.
Our Father God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent, and infinite. He can do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask, hope or think. He is with us, for us and on our side. When we come to God we can release our control, fear and worries to Him and in return receive His peace, joy, and well-being. We can rest in the unfailing love of God.
God is a good shepherd. He will lead us into green pastures, still waters and He will restore our soul (Psalm 23:3-4). As we relax into our Father God’s massive love for us, we will intuitively know our God’s leading. We will be able to discern which decisions to make and opportunities to take. We will allow other people the same freedom to make their decisions and we will find our circumstances beginning to flourish and our relationships to prosper.
Matt 6:34 – “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will [v]care for itself. [w]Each day has enough trouble of its own.
In life we can struggle with insecurity. We can worry that we don’t measure up or that we don’t fit in. The truth is if we feel our worth lies in another person’s opinion then it will always be on shaky ground.
As we come to see ourselves through God’s eyes we will see that we are intrinsically valuable. God created us for the purpose of love. He made us in His own image for relationship, so that we could be His children forever.
As we come into this divine relationship through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we can rest in Him. We didn’t do anything to earn this right standing with God, and we don’t have to do anything to keep it. We just simply trust and believe in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
The more we catch a glimpse of God’s massive love for us, the more secure we will become. We won’t have to worry about measuring up or fitting in because we are now the righteousness of God in Christ, and we were always made to stand out and shine.
In life we can push people away, because we fear they will hurt us. We can isolate ourselves, throw ourselves into our work, or escape through mindless entertainment and other self-destructive behaviors to avoid our emotions. When we push people away, we keep from getting hurt but we also keep from being loved.
We were made for love. God in HIs infinite wisdom designed men and women to receive His love and to love in return. Even when we didn’t want Him, the Bible says He loved us first by sending Jesus Christ to earth to die for our sins.
Jesus lived a sinless life for us, died on the cross as us and was raised from the dead for our justification. He did this so we could receive His righteousness by faith. Now we simply receive Jesus’s perfection and wholeness instead of trying to earn it. Through Jesus, we are the righteousness of God in Christ; we are God’s children.
God’s love is like a waterfall, endless and overflowing. As we return as often as we can and receive His great unending love, we will begin to be able to pour out love to others without expectation of anything in return. When we know in our core that we are unconditionally loved, we will allow people in and see our relationships grow, strengthen and prosper.
Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
In life we can try so hard to impress people. We change what we wear, what we do, what we say all in hopes that people will approve of us but the truth is no other person on the planet can validate us. Other people’s opinion of us is finite and often fickle. Other people’s opinions, good or bad, never change who we are on the inside.
As we come to the one being in the universe whose opinion of us is infinite, unchangeable and constantly good, we get a glimpse of who we really are. God created us special for a loving relationship with Him. He made us unique and for a purpose greater than we can conceive.
Now as we receive Jesus Christ into our life, we can stop striving to attain people’s idea of perfect. We can now easily receive Jesus’s perfection and righteousness by simply believing. Jesus paid the price for our sin, failures and shortcomings at the cross. He lived a sinless life for us, died on the cross as us, and was raised from the dead for our justification. Now we can rest in His unfailing, endless grace and mercy.
God loves us unconditionally. As we grow in our relationship with Him, we will continue to get a revelation of this massive love He has. We are His children designed for great exploits that God created for us since the beginning. As we spend time with our Father God daily immersed in HIs love, we will begin to step into all that God has for us to be and do.
Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
As we navigate the seas of life we can try to stay close to the shore for safety’s sake. However, if we try to always remain safe we will never chart new territory. We were made for more than just shallow waters.
As we receive God’s free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and His atoning work on the cross, we are made brand new. We can leave behind all of our mistakes and failures at the foot of the cross and receive Jesus’s perfection and righteousness.
As we grow in our relationship with God, our passions will be ignited for the great calling and purpose on our life. God designed each and every one of us valuable, special and unique. He has marked us with our own DNA and fingerprints for something no one else can accomplish on this planet.
When we grow in God’s love for us, we will become more comfortable in who we are. Our gifts, our talents, our passions and even our preferences point towards the calling God has on our life.
As we step into our destiny, we may face challenges, obstacles and hard times but we will by His grace overcome them all. He has created us for large, expansive lives that are woven into destinies of other as well; accomplishing together more for good than we could ever imagine, hope or dream.
Ephesians 2;10 – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
As we go through the adventure of life we can wonder what lies ahead. If we feel we are all alone and have to overcome everything ourselves, we can become worried and anxious. However, we weren’t designed to do life all alone, we were designed for relationship and community.
The God of the Universe’s arms are always open to us and as we come into relationship with Him by accepting Jesus, we are adopted into the family of God. We become God’s own children, loved and accepted. We become completely renewed and restored. Every fault, shortcoming, and flaw is washed away in HIs glorious grace.
Now we can know that we are never alone. The King of the Universe has our back. God is with us, for us and on our side and absolutely nothing can ever separate us from His love. Now as we tackle obstacles and challenges we can release worry and anxiety to God and receive His peace and well-being in return.
As we become secure in the love of God, we will effectively be able to pour out love to others. In community we are able to grow and develop in our gifts and calling. We can find our individual purpose and destiny as we grow in relationship with our Altogether Lovely One, Jesus, and in relationship with others.
Romans 8:39- nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We can find that we put our value in things that are temporal. We can put our value in our work, in our appearance, in our possessions or even others’ opinions. If we put our value in things that don’t last, we will always feel insecure.
We are made in the image of the infinite God of the Universe. Everything about us is valuable. We each have individual fingerprints and unique DNA, marking us with a special purpose and destiny. We are so extremely valuable to God that He sent Jesus, His only begotten son, to earth to live a sinless life for us, die on the cross as us and be raised from the dead for our justification.
God did this so we could exchange anything and everything in our life that falls short. We can exchange our sin, failure, sickness, anxiety and pain for His righteousness, success, health, peace and well-being.
Nothing in the world can change how valuable we are to God and as we come into relationship with Him through Jesus we become His kids. God created us for relationship with Him and it brings Him joy to lavish us in His love; and we can rest assured that His love never fails. Our value is forever secured in God’s infinite, unfailing, overwhelming, extravagant love.
Luke 12:24 – Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!
